white azaleas
attract bees that buzz softly
as if mindful

a cooing is heard
from a small puff of feathers
another dawn

shaded by azaleas
she bends her back
to shred dried cod

before the second drop
can fall, an umbrella furls
close quarter drills

their eyes wide open
but their tears cannot flow
parents await the news

a soft breeze tousles
my hair as it passes by
so flirtatiously
